No frame. No track. No mildew line.
A framed enclosure has an aluminium channel running around every edge and a track along the base. Those channels trap water, and water in an aluminium track means soap scum, mildew, and a black line you can never quite scrub out.
Frameless removes the channel entirely. Thick tempered glass, minimal hardware, nothing to trap water. It is easier to clean, it makes a small bathroom read as larger, and it does not date.
Which one fits your bathroom?
Inline Panel & Door
The most common frameless setup. One fixed panel, one swinging door, straight run. Best for standard alcove showers.
Corner Enclosure
Two glass walls meeting at 90 degrees. For showers that sit in a corner with two open sides.
Single Fixed Panel (Walk-In)
No door at all. One panel, open entry. Clean, minimal, and the easiest to clean of any configuration.
Neo-Angle
Five-sided, for corner showers with an angled front. More complex to template, which is exactly why it needs a specialist.
Steam Enclosure with Transom
Full-height glass with an operable transom panel at the top. Required if you are running a steam generator.
Tub Screen
A fixed or hinged panel over the tub edge. Replaces a shower curtain without a full remodel.
What goes into the panel.
- Thickness — ⅜" or ½"
- We default to ½". It is heavier, more rigid, and it does not flex when the door swings. Some jobs suit ⅜"; we will tell you which yours is.
- Clarity — standard or low-iron
- Standard tempered glass has a faint green edge cast. Low-iron is nearly colourless. If your tile is white, marble, or pale grey, low-iron is worth it. On dark tile, you will not see the difference.
- Finish — clear, frosted, rain, or reeded
- Clear shows everything, including the tile you paid for. Frosted and reeded add privacy. Rain glass adds texture without full obscurity.
- HardWater Shield coating — included free
- A hydrophobic treatment bonded to the surface. Santa Clara County water is hard, and untreated shower glass etches permanently within a few years. This is not an upsell — it is included, because we would rather you never call us about cloudy glass.

Every bathroom is a different price, because every bathroom is a different shape. We quote a fixed number after the measure, and it does not change unless you change the scope.
What moves the number:
- Size of the opening — More glass, more cost.
- Configuration — A straight inline panel is simpler than a neo-angle.
- Glass thickness and clarity — ½" low-iron sits at the top of the range.
- Wall condition — Significantly out-of-plumb walls take extra work to template.
- Steam enclosures — Full-height glass and a transom add cost.

Questions we get asked.
- How long does installation take?
- One day on site, typically four to six hours. Total time from measure to finished shower is 21 days or less.
- Do I need to do anything before you arrive?
- Clear the bathroom and make sure the tile and waterproofing are fully cured. If you are mid-remodel, we will coordinate directly with your contractor.
- Can you install over existing tile?
- Yes. We anchor into the tile and substrate. That is standard.
- Is frameless glass safe with kids in the house?
- Yes. All of it is tempered safety glass, which is required by code. If it ever breaks, it granulates rather than shattering into shards.
- Will it leak?
- A properly templated frameless door does not leak in normal use. Some water will reach the floor near the entry on a walk-in with no door — that is inherent to the configuration, not a defect, and we will tell you before you choose it.
- How do I clean it?
- Squeegee after each use, and the HardWater Shield coating handles the rest. No harsh abrasives — they damage the coating.
